People and access

Users in the sidebar. Admins only.

Two roles

Role Can
Host Create and run their own rooms, browse the scene library read-only, see stats for their own rooms
Admin Everything a host can, plus users, scenes, settings and site-wide usage

There is no third role, and participants are not users at all — people joining a circle need no account. Roles exist only for the admin area.

Inviting someone

Choose to add a user, give their name and email, and pick the role. You get back an invitation with a link, and a ready-written message you can copy and send.

The invite is what carries the access: they follow the link, sign in with that email, and their account is created with the role you chose. Invitations expire, so someone who waits too long needs a new one.

Managing invitations

Pending invites are listed with their status. You can:

  • Regenerate — issues a fresh link, for one that expired or went astray.
  • Delete — withdraws the invitation entirely.

An invitation can only be accepted by the email address it was issued to.

Signing in

Sign-in is by emailed link rather than a password — enter your email, receive a link, follow it. There is nothing to remember and nothing to reset.

Self sign-up

Off by default. When an admin turns it on in Branding and settings, people can create their own accounts without an invitation. Leave it off unless you specifically want an open door.

Removing access

Delete the user. Their rooms are not deleted with them — reassign anything still in use to another host first, or those rooms are left without an owner. See Rooms administration.
