The heart¶
Press and hold L. A heart grows on your own circle, and everyone in the
room sees it. Let go and it fades away.
It is press-and-hold rather than a click: the heart grows for as long as you hold the key, so a long press reads differently from a quick tap. There is no other reaction and no counter — it is a way of showing warmth while someone else is speaking, without interrupting them or unmuting.
Where it appears¶
The heart appears on your own circle, not on the speaker's. Everyone can see whose it is, which is the point: it is you visibly responding, not an anonymous tally floating over the person talking.
The current speaker's circle does not show a heart.
When it will not fire¶
- While you are typing in a text field, so
Lstays usable for typing. - With
Cmd,CtrlorAltheld, so browser shortcuts likeCmd+Lstill work.
If you switch windows or tabs mid-press, the heart releases on its own rather than staying stuck on your circle.
